But that’s exactly what happened.

We’re both Generators. We both respond. We both thrive when something feels good. We both shut down when something feels forced.

So you’d think working together would be easy, right? Except, not quite. Because what we didn’t understand in the beginning was this:

Steph is a sacral Generator. Her clarity is instant, her body responds in real time, and she knows her yes/no faster than her mind can catch up.

Dan is an emotional Generator. Her clarity comes after she feels her wave - the rise, the fall, the settling. She needs space, softness, and time.

For a long time, without realising it, we were trying to compromise: Steph slowed down to not overwhelm Dan, and Dan sped up to not hold Steph back. And our partnership became a quiet tug-of-war between two natural rhythms.

Steph’s fast clarity isn’t “too much" and Dan’s slower clarity isn’t “not enough.” They’re both perfect. They’re both correct. They’re both part of the same Generator design - expressed differently.

Once we stopped forcing each other into the same tempo, everything softened - our conversations and workflow changed, and our energy became lighter, clearer and more aligned.
